Casein is mainly used as a base material for coatings, adhesives for wood, paper and cloth, food additives, etc. In the food industry, casein is mainly used as a nutritional fortifier for solid food, as a thickening and emulsification stabilizer in food processing, and sometimes as a binder, filler and carrier.

Application & Funtion

1. Mainly used as adhesives, brighteners, dispersing stabilizers and pharmaceutical preparations
 

2. Casein can be used as a water-soluble adhesive for the manufacture of plywood, or modified to prepare high-speed label adhesive. Commonly used as thickener, emulsifier, stabilizer, protective colloid and nutrition fortifier. In the leather industry, casein can be used as film forming agent and polish agent for finishing materials because of its good adhesion to leather. Refined food-grade casein is used in food as a protein supplement, emulsifier, foaming agent, binder and stabilizer, etc.
