Biotin, also known as vitamin H and coenzyme R, is a water-soluble vitamin and also belongs to the vitamin B group, B7. It is a necessary substance for the synthesis of vitamin C and an indispensable substance for the normal metabolism of fat and protein. It is a nutrient necessary to maintain the natural growth, development and normal human function of the human body.
Biotin is one of the B vitamins, also known as vitamin H, vitamin B7, coenzyme R, etc. It was discovered in the liver in the 1930s when studying yeast rhizobium growth and respiration promoting factor. It can prevent and treat hair loss and skin damage in rats induced by feeding raw egg protein. Biotin is a member of the water-soluble vitamin B group. It is found in large quantities in the liver, kidney, yeast, and milk, and is an important factor in the fixation of carbon dioxide in organisms. It is easy to combine with a protein in egg white. Eating a large amount of raw egg white can hinder the absorption of biotin and lead to biotin deficiency, such as hair loss, weight loss, dermatitis, etc. Biotin plays an important role in biochemical reaction pathways such as fat synthesis and gluconeogenesis.
Biotin is the savior of bald people. It is not only effective in preventing hair loss and head exposure, but also can prevent the common gray hair in modern people. It also plays an important role in maintaining skin health. As for the effect of calming the nervous system, it has not been confirmed, but it does help depression and insomnia.
Biotin is a coenzyme of various carboxylases and acts as a CO2 carrier in carboxylase reactions.

Biotin is a colorless long needle-shaped crystal with a cyclic ring of urea and thiophene, and a valeric acid side chain; it is very slightly soluble in water (22mg/100ml water, 25ºC) and ethanol (80mg/100ml, 25ºC), more soluble in hot water and dilute alkali solution, and insoluble in other common organic solvents. It decomposes when it encounters strong alkali or oxidizing agents.
It can be stable for several days in moderate acid and neutral solutions, and has poor stability in alkaline solutions. It is quite stable at normal temperatures, but high temperatures and oxidizing agents can make it inactive.
Oral biotin is rapidly absorbed from the stomach and intestines. 80% of biotin in the blood exists in free form and is distributed throughout the body's tissues. It is more abundant in the liver and kidneys. After taking the drug, most of the biotin is excreted in the urine in its original form, and only a small part is metabolized into biotin sulfoxide and bi-norbiotin.
1. Enhance the body's immune response and resistance.
Biotin can enhance the body's immune response and resistance to infection, stabilize the lysosomal membrane of normal tissues, maintain the body's humoral immunity and cellular immunity, and affect the secretion of a series of cytokines. Large doses can promote thymus hyperplasia, just like immunopotentiators, which can enhance immunity.
2. Maintain normal growth and development.
When biotin is deficient, reproductive function declines, bone growth is poor, and embryonic and infant growth and development are hindered.
Used to treat arteriosclerosis, stroke, lipid metabolism disorders, hypertension, coronary heart disease and blood circulation disorders.
Used in cosmetics, it can increase the blood circulation rate in the skin blood vessels. In the concentration range of 0.1%~1.0%, it is easy to mix with the oil phase in the formula. It can be used in skin care vanishing cream, sports medicine, foot pain relief cream, shaving lotion, and shampoo.
Biotin is a coenzyme of many enzymes in the human body, participating in the metabolism of fatty acids and carbohydrates in the body; promoting protein synthesis; also participating in the metabolism of vitamin B12, folic acid, and pantothenic acid; promoting urea synthesis and excretion.
1. Helps fat, glycogen and amino acids to be synthesized and metabolized normally in the human body;
2. Promotes the normal functioning and growth of sweat glands, nerve tissue, bone marrow, male sex glands, skin and hair, and relieves symptoms of eczema and dermatitis;
3. Prevents gray hair and hair loss, and helps treat baldness;
4. Relieves muscle pain;
5. Promotes urea synthesis and excretion, purine synthesis and biosynthesis of oleic acid.
6. Used to treat arteriosclerosis, stroke, lipid metabolism disorders, hypertension, coronary heart disease and blood circulation disorders.
If biotin is used together with vitamin A, vitamin B2, vitamin B6 and niacin (vitamin B3), they complement each other and have a better effect. Supplementation cycle: Vitamin H only stays in the human body for 3 to 6 hours, so it must be supplemented every day.
