1. Brightening skin tone inhibits the formation of melanin. After ascorbate glucoside is transformed into vitamin C and enters skin cells, it can significantly reduce the formation of melanin by inhibiting the activity of tyrosinase. Inhibition of tyrosinase reduces dopamine quinones, an intermediate in the synthesis of melanin.
