For osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, the lowest dose of this product for treatment is determined on an individual basis. The time of meal intake has no effect on this dosage.
Osteoarthritis: The recommended dose for relieving the symptoms and signs of osteoarthritis is 200 mg orally once a day or 100 mg orally twice a day.
Rheumatoid arthritis: The recommended dose for relieving the symptoms and signs of rheumatoid arthritis is 100 mg to 200 mg twice a day.
Acute pain: The recommended dose is 400 mg on the first day, and 200 mg if necessary; then 200 mg twice a day as needed.
Special populations
Patients with impaired liver function: The recommended daily dose of this product should be reduced by approximately 50% in patients with moderate hepatic impairment (Child-Pugh II). This product is not recommended for patients with severe hepatic impairment.
