Penicillin G Sodium salt is an antibiotic used to treat sensitive bacterial infections such as swine erysipelas, anthrax, malignant edema, actinomycosis, etc. It should be used in combination with tetanus antitoxin to treat tetanus.
Main diseases
Penicillin sodium is suitable for infections with sensitive bacteria or sensitive pathogens such as abscesses, bacteremia, pneumonia, and endocarditis. It is suitable for hemolytic streptococcal infections, pneumococcal infections, non-penicillinase-producing staphylococcal infections, clostridium infections, anthrax, diphtheria, etc. It is used in combination with aminoglycoside drugs to treat viridans streptococcal endocarditis. It should be used before oral, dental, gastrointestinal or genitourinary tract surgery to prevent infective endocarditis.
