Oxaliplatin is a third-generation platinum anticancer drug, a platinum compound of diaminocyclohexane, that is, It has the same effect as other platinum drugs, that is, DNA is the target site, and platinum atoms form cross-links with DNA to antagonize its replication and transcription. It has a synergistic effect when used in combination with fluorouracil (5-FU); in vitro and in vivo studies have shown that there is no cross-resistance between it and cisplatin.

Oxaliplatin has good efficacy in colorectal cancer and ovarian cancer, and has certain efficacy in gastric cancer, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and head and neck tumors. It is still effective for colorectal cancer patients who are resistant to other platinum drugs and are ineffective for 5-FU treatment.
The recommended dose of oxaliplatin is 85mg/m (intravenous drip) repeated every 2 weeks for a total of 12 cycles (6 months). Dissolve oxaliplatin in 250ml to 500ml of 5% glucose solution (in order to reach a concentration of more than 0.2mg/ml) and continue intravenous drip for 2 to 6 hours.
