Product Description

Lentinan, referred to as LNT, is an effective active ingredient extracted from high-quality shiitake mushroom fruiting bodies. It is the main active ingredient of shiitake mushrooms and a host defense potentiator (HDP). Clinical and pharmacological studies have shown that lentinan has antiviral, anti-tumor, immune function regulation and interferon stimulation.
Lentinan is an effective active ingredient extracted from high-quality shiitake mushroom fruiting bodies. The active ingredient in lentinan is a branched β-(1-3)-D-glucan. The main chain is composed of β-(1-3)-linked glucose groups, and glucose groups linked by β-(1-6) are randomly distributed along the main chain, presenting a comb-like structure.

Lentinan has no immune-promoting effect on normal organisms, but it can improve the immune response of tumor-bearing or infected organisms. It can recognize macrophages of antigens in the spleen and liver, promote the production of lymphocyte activation factors, release various helper T cell factors, and enhance the phagocytic rate of host peritoneal macrophages. When the host body is injected with Lentinan for several hours, the levels of some physiologically active serum factors such as acute phase protein induction factor, vasodilation and hemorrhage induction factor, IL-1 production induction factor, IL3 and colony stimulating factor reach peak values. These factors act on lymphocytes, hepatocytes, and vascular endothelial cells to produce many effective immune responses, while causing precursor T cells in the thymus to mature, differentiate, proliferate, and release into the periphery.

Lentinan has an immune-enhancing effect. Although it does not directly kill tumor cells in vivo, it can exert anti-tumor activity by enhancing the body's immune function. It can enhance the activity of NK cells in the spleen and peritoneal cavity in vivo. The induction of interferon is related to the dose of this product, and its activity has a synergistic effect with interleukins or interferon inducers.
