Functions of Dehydroacetic acid sodium :
1.Mainly used for fermented bean curd, pickles, jam (maximum dosage 0.3g/Kg); soup, cakes and cheese, butter, margarine, etc. (maximum dosage 0.5g/Kg); maximum dosage for salted vegetables is 0.3 g/Kg (See GBP70).
2. Dehydroacetic acid sodium has good light resistance and heat resistance, and will not decompose and evaporate with water vapor during food processing. Tests have proved that sodium dehydroacetate has few toxic side effects, high safety, and does not produce abnormal odor when used in food. Therefore, sodium dehydroacetate has generally been welcomed by food companies in recent years. It is used in cream, soup (seasoning, Instant soups), bread, cakes, pastries, egg yolk pie, fermented bean curd pickles, fruit puree, concentrated fruit puree, moon cakes, fillings, bean paste, lotus paste, etc. are widely used.
Applications of Dehydroacetic acid sodium:
1.Food Additive Dehydroacetic acid sodium is used in the food industry as preservative for fruits, vegetables, fruit juice, honey, beer, milk, protein and fat products; in human and veterinary medicine as bactericide and fungicide.
2.Food Additive Dehydroacetic acid sodium is a globally approved preservative for cosmetics and toiletries (leave-on and rinse-off products). It is a preservative with high efficacy and low use cost, with a broad spectrum activity.
3.Food Additive Dehydroacetic acid sodium is water soluble and compatible with any type of formulating system. It has an excellent toxicity profile, non-sensitizing and non-irritating. Sodium dehydroacetate is permitted by Ecocert, as synthetic preservative in ecological and organic certified cosmetics.
