Calcium Glycinate is a white crystalline powder with a melting point of more than 215ºC. Calcium Glycinate is slightly soluble in water and ether. It is highly hygroscopic in nature. It should be stored in tightly closed containers away from the source of heat. Calcium Glycinate is a advanced compensating-calcium agent compared to other compensating-calcium agents as it can be easily absorbed by human body.
In the range of food additives: calcium glycine can be fortified in dairy products (milk powder, milk, soy milk, etc.), solid drinks, cereals, salt and other foods. Calcium glycine soluble, high absorption rate can be used to fortify children's food, and sports drinks, also because of the high solubility, can be formulated fruit-tasting, high-calcium concentrate for the manufacture of yogurts. When making fried food or pastries, adding appropriate amount can prevent oil oxidation and food hair color in addition to nutrient strengthening, and improve the sensory quality of products. It can be used as calcium enhancer and nutrient for food.
