Product Description

Phytosterols are functional ingredients that exist in a free state or in a state combined with fatty acids and sugars. They are widely present in the cell membranes of various plants such as vegetables and fruits.
Phytosterols are divided into three categories: 4-methylsterols, 4-methylsterols and 4,4'-dimethylsterols. The main 4-methylsterols include β-sitosterol, stigmasterol, campesterol and rapeseed sterol. The structure of phytosterols is basically similar to that of animal sterols. The difference lies in the number of methyl groups connected to the c-4 position and the difference in the side chain at the c-11 position.
