Arbutin, originally derived from natural green plants, is a skin whitening active substance that combines the concepts of "green", "safe", and "efficient". Arbutin is an ideal whitening agent for whitening cosmetics, with two optical isomers: α The isomer with biological activity is a type of isomer. At room temperature, it is a white powder that is easily soluble in water, ethanol, and aqueous solutions of glycerol. It is added to many whitening and skincare products. It is named after its discovery from the leaves of the genus Ursa in the family Rhododendron.
